I had a thought I might share while reading this: Perhaps the brain really is more like a computer than we think. You were talking about how we differ from computers in our response to unexpected problems, and you pointed out that when things don't go the way we anticipate there's a sudden shift to the analytical brain. It seems to me that our unconscious brain reacts in the same way the computer does. It says, "That didn't work. Now what?" Just what is that conscious part of ourselves, the part that's aware of its own existence? It seems like something that defies conceptualization. Pretty interesting reading. For Mac users, the MPVR does sorta work with Macs. What you need is to download a free program called ffmpeg to convert the asf files to quicktime. If you just want to view the files, you can use the vlc player.
